About Me

Mike
I grew up in a small town in Western North Carolina named Brevard. It was only recently that I realized what a blessing it was to grow up in that place: This quirky mountain enclave of artists and visionaries, who tended to believe that the sky was the limit. I carry a lot of the spirit of my hometown and WNC with me today. I've lived in several different places for varying amounts of time: Chicago, DC, Charlotte, Raleigh, and now New York. Over the years, I've written a fair amount of "stuff"--mainly short, fluffy articles, ad copy, and a ton of scripts for Web commercials--for a fairly wide array of employers and clients. I dabble as a painter. I've written/produced music that you may (or may not!) have heard playing behind commercials on the Web. I've also recorded 2 albums of original alt rock. I love meeting new people and learning about what makes them tick. So, please comment on what you read here, and do introduce yourself! Best, Mike
